My name is Dave Newbould, trading as Origins or Gwreiddiau (‘Roots’ in Welsh) - welcome to my online shopping gallery of photographs celebrating the beauty of Snowdonia and of Wales. The images on the site are all available in printed form – some in my calendars, others on greetings cards, postcards, Christmas cards, or poster prints.

This site is large, with the 1000 or more images in the ‘galleries’ section – these are then separated into their product areas by number. If you would like to buy any of these images in their printed form, then you will find an ‘add to shopping cart’ button by each product. Please feel free to contact me about anything – if you need help, to give me helpful suggestions, correct me, because you don’t feel comfortable purchasing online, or you wish to know your nearest stockist. I am privileged to live in a beautiful area of Snowdonia. There are few places where rocky peaks can be found overlooking long sandy beaches. In between are sparkling lakes and fresh white-water rivers run through native oak woodland. The land of Wales has such a great variety of landscapes for a small country. The plentiful supply of water from above ensures a lush and green surrounding, and a regular supply of sun (yes, really!) lights it to perfection. This is not always a ‘chocolate box’ landscape – the many ages of Welsh culture have melted into the land that God made.
