Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click 'Add to cart' on any items that you wish to buy. You can view or modify your shopping cart at any time. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
When you are ready to place the order for the items in your cart, just click the 'Confirm Order' button which will take you to the WorldPay site where you enter your payment detals. Once these have been accepted you need to click to VIEW MERCHANT RECEIPT, which will take you back to our site to confirm your purchase.
You will then receive an automated email from our website showing what you have ordered and an from Worldpay to acknowledge your payment. You will then receive a personal email from us as soon as possible thanking you for the order and giving you a delivery schedule. In the rare event that we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you by email or telephone advising you of this.
We usually despatch your order within 24 hours of receipt.
We will email you to let you know how your order is being sent.
If you have any special requests for delivery, please let us know at the time of order, or as soon as possible afterwards.
If a package has not arrived in reasonable time, please also let us know.
You may choose first class or second class post.
If first class is chosen, then delivery should be made 1-2 days after placing your order.
If second class is chosen, then delivery should be made 2-5 days after placing your order.
Heavier packages will be sent by carrier, which can take 1-5 days.
Items are usually sent by Airmail. Delivery in most cases will be made within a week.
Rest of the World
You may choose either Airmail or Surface Mail.
Airmail usually takes up to a week, though to some countries it takes longer!
These are rough estimates
North America : 6-8 weeks
SE Asia : 8-12 weeks
Oceania : 10-16 weeks
In general we do not recommend Surface Mail because of the unpredictable delivery times. However, it can be a useful cheaper option if you plan well ahead and are happy to wait a while.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
All credit / debit card transactions are secure. Card details are not held in clear text on any web site. All these transactions are dealt with entirely by WorldPay on our behalf - at Origins we never get to see your card details.
We aim to give 100% satisfaction with our products. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase please contact us with your complaint. If you receive a product of ours that is faulty or damaged, we will either replace or refund.
Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
When you place an order with us, the only information we hold on you are your name, address, email address and telephone number. For record purposes we print out your order sheet, but these are shredded at the end of each financial year.
At Origins we never get to see your credit / debit card details - your payments are entirely and securely dealt with by WorldPay and/or PayPal.
If you are just on our mailing list, then the only information we hold about you are your email address and your first name (if you have given it to us).
Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses (if the address book is used) and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' option.
We want our customers to be completely happy with the goods they have purchased from us. If there is any reason that you are not happy, we would like to know about it. Please get in touch as soon as possible. Our policy is to refund or replace without quibble.
Simply return your purchases to us within 30 days, clearly stating that you would like a refund. We will then reimburse the full value of your order.
Would you rather a replacement? If so, let us know that, and if it is practical we will replace rather than refund.
We take great care when packaging our products for delivery. However, occasionally they get a rough journey with the postal service or carrier. We will readily replace or refund any products damaged in transit.
